  1. What is the process to get Home Care Service from Nice Us Geriatric

Ans: When someone calls requesting home care service, we ensure that it is the right fit for them. Once it is, you can book a Free Consultation done by a Registered Nurse based on your schedule and the availability of appointments. The Registered Nurse will conduct an assessment to determine the unique needs of your loved one and design a plan of care based on those needs.

Then once you want to move further with the service, we schedule what we call a “Comfort Match” where you and your elderly loved one gets to meet our Nice Us Caregiver to ensure they are comfortable with them. Once satisfied, only then does the service begin.

  1. Is the Free Consultation in person or can it be done virtually?

Ans: It can be done in person at your elderly loved one’s home, if they are admitted to the hospital it can be done there, or it can be done virtually either by phone call or facetime call (WhatsApp/Zoom/Teams etc)

  1. Are you obligated to sign up for our Home Care Service after a Free Consultation and/or Comfort Match?

Ans: Not at all. There are no obligations to the Free Consultation and Comfort Match. Both are free of charge with no obligations to acquire our service.

  1. How do you determine the rate to charge each client?

Ans: Each client is charged according to the amount of tasks required from us to provide optimal home care. To assess this, each client is categorized according to their level of mobility. Category 1 clients have some form of mobility, regardless of how limited. Category 2 clients are bedridden; with persons who can move in bed differently rated as compared to persons who are unable to move at all on their own. The service is hourly rated and you can customize the service according to your coverage needs – choose how many days per week, how many hours per day.

  1. Do you have a minimum hourly order?

Ans: Yes. Although you can customize the service according to your coverage needs, we do have a minimum hourly order of 30 hours per week. This is necessary to monitor for key performance indicators.

  1. Are your caregivers certified and competent?

Ans: Yes. All Nice Us Caregivers are vetted by first undergoing an interview process. Background checks and reference checks are made, including references from their last private clients before onboarding at Nice Us Geriatric.

We hire persons who satisfy the minimum criteria of being certified from a reputable school and having a minimum of 3 years work experience.

We also enroll our graduates from our school, where we teach one course – Fundamentals of Geriatric Care.
